Questions about Ember

Yesterday we talked about two questions that had not come up about our book yet.
Is Ember set in the past or the future?
Where is Ember? Is it on Earth since there is no sun? If it is on Earth, why don’t they have sun?

I think it is in the past. I think it is under ground.
I think that Ember is in the past because they don’t have the things that they need like food,cloths…I think they are on the earth but they are on part of the earth that doesn’t get sun! Mabe yes,Mabe no?
I think that ember is in the future besause lots of stuff had run out. I think that ember is a underground city with lots of space digged out. And that the pipeworks might be just one of those underground rivers. Thats why they have no trees , no fire , not very much food. Thats it thats the reason why they don’t have very much electricity because the only way to have electricity by burning the fosill fuel. thats the problem they have blackouts thats the reason did anyone noticed ?
1. I think Ember is a small town
the cite of ember in the fucher and ember is under gonde.
I think that they don`t get any sun because it is a small town and the clouds are covering the sun that is why its dark in ember.
I think Ember is in the future……becouse Kiana looked it up on were you looke up books in the liberary. And I think Ember is under ground becouse we talked about it today.
Ember is in a huge cave and the sun doesn’t shine in there, so they can’t see the sun at all.
